Metal Scalpel Handle

If you fancy cutting your own stencils out, then you will need either a scalpel or heat pen cutting tool. Our pack of 10a blades fit the metal scalpel handle and you change blades when blunt. The scalpel is best for cutting straight lines and long curves (such as leaves and stems). For curvier or frilly shapes, (such as petals and dots) the heat pen might be easier to use. When cutting with a scalpel, cut onto an appropriate surface – either a melamine or smooth glass chopping board or a self-heal cutting mat. Cut towards yourself and use your other hand to move the stencil film. Manoeuvre the film around the knife not the other way around. Keep the guiding hand behind the blade, never in front.
